RBAW POSTS VESSEL NAVIGATION, SAFETY, AND COMMUNICATION PUBLICATIONS FOR 2003

RBAW has copies of recreational vessel navigation, safety and communication publications available for downloading. These items can be posted or distributed by yacht clubs, marinas and individuals. The following items are:

1. *VHF Frequencies for Pleasure Vessel in the Northwest-14th Edition.
This VHF frequency guide covers Washington and British Columbia.

2. Current Washington and British Columbia VHF Marine Radio Topics.
This summary contain communication items which supplement the above listed VHF frequency guide.

3. *Sharing the Waters of Puget Sound.
A guide to operating recreational vessels in the vicinity of large commercial vessels.

4. *Chart of Vessel Traffic Lane Changes.
The Traffic Separation Scheme changes were effective December 1, 2002. One page Chart.

5. Recommended Procedures for Recreational Vessels In Low Visibility In US Navigable Waters.
Covers Low Visibility operation of vessels in the Seattle Vessel Traffic Sectors of Washington.

The documents marked with an asterisk may be obtained in hard copy by RBAW members by requesting them through the RBAW Webmaster. The other two documents are text only and may be duplicated by individuals or yacht clubs.
